The Charles Babbage Tour – 2018/2019

Well, the 2016/2017 season was memorable – I travelled the country and delivered talks at Hamble, Winchester, Fowey, Southampton, Thorverton, and Plymouth University. This last one was particularly close to my heart – and home – as we lived in Devon at the time! We have since moved to France but get home to carry on the good work of talking about Babbage, Ada and a history of the computer and other fascinating Victorians.
Coming up this year I am being interviewed in Teignmouth at the poetry festival on 16th March which I am looking forward to very much. I will be discussing the works of John Keats and Elizabeth Barrett. Then we will back in the UK for a talk to the Retired Engineers

AGM in Exeter in April – looking forward to it!
After that will be a tour of various U3A groups throughout the country – North Tavy, Surrey, Dartmouth, Newton Abbot – and loads pending. This season promises to be my busiest yet!
